Summer Craziness

Hello everyoneThis has been such a crazy summer.  I have been in Thinking Map training and Trade Days Training all summer.  We are moving into a new math series called Investigations.  Have any of you used this?  I would love some thoughts on it.  Next my hubby and I went on a mini vaca to Ruidoso, New Mexico.  So cool and relaxing there.  We went to the horse races and then to the lava beds.  So much fun!!!  When we got home we found out that our neighbor’s dog had chewedd through our fence and attacked one of my yorkies.  She is doing better but had to stay in the hospital for a week.  That cost us, or should I say my neighbor a small fortune!  I am working on a new stool and teacher toolbox for my classroom.  I also bought a laminator to use at home.  I highly recommend that everyone get one.  I went to Wal-Mart and bought the Scotch brand for 24.00.  It is a bargain. I hope all of you are having a great summer and get restSchool is not too far off!!!

  1. I'm so sorry about your dog. Glad it's doing better. I have to get me a laminator. I have been looking at them but have not bought one yet. Maybe this weekend or at least before I go back to school.

  6. We did Investigations for about 5 years where I teach and a lot of teachers were not big fans of the program. They may have changed their approach since we taught it. It's been about 3 years now. How are you feeling about it?
